John Boyle

As Chief Growth Officer and Interim CFO of Insomniac Events, John Boyle leads the company’s international expansion efforts and other business development initiatives, in addition to overseeing corporate finance.  Flagship brand Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), whose Las Vegas edition is the largest single-weekend music festival in North America with 420,000 attendees, continues to grow worldwide with festivals in London, Mexico City, Sao Paolo, Delhi, and Tokyo, with more to be announced soon. Previously, Boyle was as an A&R and marketing executive at Giant Records, Virgin Records, and Warner Bros. Records.  As a talent manager, he represented acts including actor and platinum rapper Xzibit, multi-platinum rock band Alien Ant Farm, and hip-hop legends Blackalicious.  Boyle begin his career producing concerts for events such as the X Games and the US Open of Surfing, which led to helping launch the Vans Warped Tour and owning/producing winter music festival SnoCore.  Born in Oakland, CA and raised on skis in the High Sierras of Lake Tahoe, Boyle holds a dual MBA from Columbia Business School in New York and the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, and BA in Economics from UCLA.
